“Pleasant little guest house...”
... only a 10 - 15 minute walk from the centre of Oxford, with parking available (Oxford is not car friendly) Park up and head west along the main road to reach centre Oxford. The guest house is close to Cowley where many different restaurants can be found (just a short walk and outside of the main city centre) The guest house is run by a friendly couple who offered local advise and cooked a tasty breakfast for us both in the morning. Our room was clean and tidy and most welcoming with en-suite, TV, WiFi, tea/coffee and towels/bedding. Would happily return and recommend. Carlos, Southampton (UK) “Wonderful hosts”
Our hosts Lisa and Norman could not have been more welcoming, accommodating and helpful in every way. By the time we arrived in Oxford after the long haul from Australia I was really unwell with a virus and Lisa was instrumental in arranging a doctor's appointment at very short notice where we would have struggled to organise this ourselves. We were really happy with our room, had great breakfasts, and the location was excellent - an easy and pleasant walk to Oxford central. There are also numerous good and reasonably priced restaurants/pubs/eating houses close by, plus supermarkets and other shops, in the Ifley Road/Cowley Road area. Visitors to the UK should have Oxford way up on the list of great places to visit, and Heather House is a perfect place to stay. Trish M, Milan (Italy) |
"A warm welcome at this conveniently located guest house"
Norman and Lisa are very helpful and welcoming hosts at this wonderful establishment where we have stayed on a number of occasions. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable and the breakfast, usually cooked by Lisa, is excellent. Heather House is approximately 25 minutes walk from the centre of the fascinating city of Oxford and a regular bus services passes the front of the guest house. We have no hesitation in recommending Heather House to other visitors. Paul, Bristol (UK) "Great Stay"
We arrived way too early, just to drop our bags of (9am) The hosts Norman and Lisa, invited us in and gave us a coffee and then offered us breakfast. We have stayed here before and love the location (just down the street from the athletic track where Roger Bannister was 1st at breaking the 4 minute mile in 1954) Easy 20 minute walk to the city centre. Nice room what more can I say, I would definitely stay again. This is a B&B.. Jim, Ontario (Canada) “Best B&B in Oxford”
Time and again I have stayed at Heather House and I can't recommend this little B&B enough. It is very clean, warm and with free Wi-Fi. Norman and Lisa are so very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are included and delicious and it's right near the Cowley Road for going out in the evening. Lisa R, Hove (UK) |
